Golf Sets - What Do I Really Need As A Beginner?

When you start playing golf in beginning then you have to take all equipments related to it. The best thing is that you can take only the most required articles in beginning. Possession of right fittings assures you easy success in game and also makes playing game simple. For the achievement of goals it is important to have the right set.

You should always keep your golf sets separate from others because this is a game where you can not share your equipments with anyone. As a beginner you need the following sets which are required for playing.

Golf Clubs

first of all you need to collect and include clubs in your kit. There are four types of clubs i.e. woods, irons, putters and hybrids.

woods golf clubs are very long with shafts measuring about 40 to 47 inches. These clubs have large heads and spherical shape. wood clubs are most suitable for working on situations which necessitate hitting off the tee. When you are supposed to take a definite carries or drive then you should always keep wood club in your golf set.

Wedges golf clubs comes with loft of more than 44 and this special feature makes it different from other clubs.

Another category of clubs is putters which are basically used on green grounds. Putters club has low loft and short shaft which combines well the features of accuracy and skillful touch.

Next is irons golf clubs which are most resourceful as well as easy to handle. Some golfers prefer to make do in this game by using only an iron. These are rather short than woods clubs and comes in shafts measurement of 36 to 40 inches. For using the irons clubs you need to possess relative expertise and sufficient amount of accuracy.

players can take with them maximum fourteen assorted clubs in their golf sets. This kit consist of all different clubs as 2 wedges, one putter and three woods.

Golf Balls

This is second most important equipment in your golf set. Standard diameter of balls are 42.67 mm. Balls are made generally from synthetic materials. Most important feature of these balls is its dimple which creates smoothness. The sleek finish of balls affects the spin and curve of ball. material of them affects the ultimate results of this game, such as ball with harder material results in longer distance and softer material ball require more spin.

Although there are some more things like bags, cleats and tees but these above mentioned tools are most required in your set when you are going to begin playing golf.

Stress Management Through Yoga

Stress, almost all are victim of this drastic term. people from all occupations are facing stress in their life in one way or the other. In this article I would like to summarize the causes and cure for stress through natural therapy called YOGA. But before coming to that point we should have clear understanding of what exactly the stress is. Stress is usually a mental pressure exerted due to fatigue or excessive work. It is also caused from worrying about the work or happenings in the past, present or future. Suppose there is a businessmen exporting his products to several countries, his business is doing fine and growing but somehow a situation comes and he finds his business on decline though there might be some cause for this and it could be short lived making his business to bloom once again, but within this short span the person develops stress which may lead to severe mental hazards.

In the modern world we face stress in every sphere and every step of our life, whether we are in schools, colleges, offices etc. Students face stress due to exams, serviceman face stress due to huge pile of pending work etc. As a result people often practice medications like taking sedatives, narcotics and tranquilizers (medicines to cure anxiety) which calm the mind but in future it creates serious other maladies.

But still there is a therapy which is purely natural and is considered to be the best weapon against stress and that is YOGA. Yoga is the ancient mantra for sound health and also to retain juvenility to a great extent. It has been practiced by several Rishi-Munis in ancient India and now has become a major concern among the modern genre too.

So back to stress management, yoga provides a unique way of managing stress through Prayanama (A breathing technique), in this technique an individual do slow and steady breathing - like inhaling through his one nostril and exhaling through other. Besides there are fast breathing movements like intake of air through nostrils and exhaling through mouth at fast pace, this way air is passed properly through blood capillaries and the person feels himself / herself in light mode i.e. he / she feels that there is no burden over their mind and soul.

Dhyana (Meditation) is also a good method of controlling stress, in this part of yoga a person sits in a posture (usually in relaxing mode) and concentrate his / her mind over one point with eyes closed. The mind is concentrated upto an extent when an individual feels that he / she has no interaction with the surroundings, infact the mind reaches in a neutral stage thereby relieving mental exhaustion. Hence yoga provides the best cure to this serious ailment which is disrupting the life of millions of people daily. Anyone practicing yoga daily is rarely suspected to stress, as yoga creates the mind and body immune to stress.

Finally Yoga has and is proving itself as Stress Management Tool and now a days it is being used in Western world too as a major alternative to the offensive allopathic drugs.

Try a Slow-Carb Habit

Carbohydrates - found in grains, breads, pasta, and sugar, as well as vegetables, fruit, tofu, beans, and dairy - provide the body with the most efficient fuel for energy production and brain activity. They're nutritionally essential, a principle currently downplayed by the "low-carb craze".

What is important to understand is that not all carbohydrates have the same "fuel efficiency". Many carbohydrates - termed "refined" or "simple" - cause blood sugar highs and lows which can result in a period of high energy followed by a period of extremely low energy, often leaving the person craving more of the simple quick release carbs.

Examples of these "refined" carbs are regular pasta, white bread, snack foods and baked goods. The weight loss plans that advocate eating less or none of these foods are on the right track, except they tend to throw out the GOOD carbs as well. We'll call these "slow carbs", and here's why:

after you eat them, the carbohydrates in foods are broken down and released as sugar units (glucose) into your bloodstream. "Slow carbs" are foods that release glucose at a slower rate.

Typically, these foods are "whole foods"; that is, they contain the fibre and minerals that are often removed in making their refined, "quick-release" counterparts. (Such is the difference between whole wheat bread and white bread.)

Choosing "slow carbs" over refined carbs helps keep your blood sugar balanced (positively affecting your hunger level, mood and mental concentration, among other things). Fibre also promotes regularity and helps maintain healthy blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Examples of "slow carbs" are whole grain breads and crackers, potatoes with their skin, beans & legumes, brown rice, oats, and whole grain pasta.

Here are five tips for creating a "slow carb" habit:

1. Whole foods - Eat as close to natural as possible. Vegetables, fruits, beans and lentils are whole foods that contain all of their original nutrients (fibre, vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates for energy).

2. Grains & Breads - When it comes to grain products such as breads, crackers, cereals, and pasta, choose "darker", whole grain varieties. This can be done in restaurants as well as the grocery store.

3. Snacking - Fruit is an excellent snack. Consuming the whole fruit provides the slow-release carbs and will sustain your energy for longer, as opposed to fruit juice, which provides the body with a quick release of fruit sugar into the bloodstream. Another great snack to try is sliced red peppers with hummus (made from chickpeas).

4. Take the time (you're worth it!) - Seeing as some of the slow-carb options take longer to cook (e.g., brown rice versus white rice), make them ahead of time, and make extra to freeze for future meals. Brown rice is very versatile; try it in soups, casseroles, stuffed vegetables, or for breakfast (warmed) with cinnamon, raisins, chopped nuts or ground flaxseed.

5. Read labels - "Whole wheat" (or other "whole" grain) should appear before any other flour in the ingredient list. White flour can be disguised as "wheat flour", enriched flour", "unbleached flour", or "grain flour", to name a few.

Working at substituting "slow carb" foods into your lifestyle will ensure that you have ample energy, proper nutrition, and that you maintain a healthy weight. Of course it's also essential that you find some ways to be active and that you limit high fat and high calorie snack foods as best you can.
